Chocolate Chip Nutella bombs
Hi besties—
Brioche chocolate bread bombs are a dream. The kind of dessert that practically demands a glass of warm milk on the side. These pillowy, buttery soft buns are generously stuffed with Nutella that melts and oozes out the moment you pull them apart. One bite takes you straight back to childhood, when a thick layer of Nutella on toast felt like the ultimate treat. The chocolate chips folded into the dough make them even better, and they add a nice crunch. Some might argue that these buns are too much, but honestly… there’s no such thing as too much chocolate. And if anyone says otherwise, block them. You deserve better. And so do my buns.
The process starts by freezing dollops of Nutella so they stay perfectly gooey in the center while baking. A soft brioche style dough is then mixed, kneaded until smooth, and left to proof until light and fluffy. Once risen, chocolate chips are gently folded in, and the dough is divided into portions. Each piece is stuffed with frozen Nutella, sealed, and shaped into buns before being brushed with egg wash and baked until golden. The result is a soft, buttery bun with a warm, melty chocolate center in every bite.
Let’s get baking!
